Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and promptly report any changes or adverse reactions to the charge nurse or provider.
- Document all patient care activities, including interventions, responses, and education provided.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Active, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Eligibility for or completion of NCLEX-RN licensure examination.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for specific units.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure.
