Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patient health status and vital signs.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitoring & Observation: Continuously monitor patient progress and response to treatment, reporting changes immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including charting in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care status.
- Emergency Response: Assist in maintaining a safe environment and responding promptly to patient emergencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN) required.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and technical skills.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated empathy, patience, and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
