Responsibilities
- Assess patient health histories and current conditions to identify immediate needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient status immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff to develop individualized care plans.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, BSN, or ASN).
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- NICU or Med-Surg experience is a plus, but not required for this entry-level position.
