Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct patient care in high-acuity emergency settings
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Respond rapidly to trauma codes and critical situations
- Educate patients/families on discharge instructions and preventive care
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (CO RN)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years ER experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
