Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care, emergency, or specialized units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment interventions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky (compact license preferred)
- BSN or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility to work 8, 12, or 16-hour shifts
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
