Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in assigned specialty unit (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document clinical observations accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Implement patient education and discharge planning
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain flexible schedule coordination with Nurse Manager
Qualifications
- Active NC RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (unit-specific certifications may apply)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
