Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across diverse medical units including ER, ICU, and oncology
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor vital signs and document patient responses using Epic EHR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
Qualifications
- Valid NYS RN license with active status
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Excellent communication abilities in English and Spanish a plus
