Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure clinical stability.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Document patient progress and medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
