Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheter care, and other procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient medical history and symptoms accurately and thoroughly.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (New grads welcome).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
