Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop/evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians in accordance with established protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, documenting all clinical observations accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and apply critical thinking skills to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
