Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered care philosophy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
