Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive, individualized plans of nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, intervening immediately when complications arise.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care services in medical records in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, applying critical thinking and nursing protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
