Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned units, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress, documenting accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous learning programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (required) and NIHSS certification (preferred)
- 2+ years of acute care experience in relevant specialty (e.g., ER, ICU, Med-Surg)
- Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in electronic health records
