Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical units including ER, ICU, and surgical services
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education on treatment protocols and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital policies
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs
Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years acute care experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Electronic Health Records proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
