Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the appropriate medical staff.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
