Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and responses to interventions accurately in the EMR.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (depending on unit specialty).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
