Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ER/ICU units with evidence-based nursing practices
- Administer medications, treatments, and wound care per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vitals, ECGs, and diagnostic results; respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic EHR system
- Educate patients/families on discharge plans and home care instructions
- Comply with TDSHS regulations and hospital infection control policies
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (Compact License preferred)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred for leadership track
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in telemetry or ICU
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking skills and emergency response capabilities
- Experience with Epic EHR systems and telehealth platforms
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
