Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care using evidence-based nursing practices and critical assessment skills
- Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations with precision and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Monitor patient vitals, response to treatments, and report changes to physicians promptly
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge plans
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (compact license accepted)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred based on department
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience (new graduates welcome)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical documentation systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
