Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical status, reporting any abnormalities or changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
