Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with critical intervention skills
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Supervise LVNs and CNAs while providing mentorship and clinical guidance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
- Deliver patient education on health conditions and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with 2+ years experience considered
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (ER, ICU, or Med-Surg)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
