Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and clinical notes accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
- Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and health education.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced situations.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate bedside manner and excellent communication skills.
