Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on nursing standards and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition, escalating care when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will also be considered.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as required.
