Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions closely, alerting physicians to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Respond promptly to code blue and emergency situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
