Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities immediately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide patient education and support to families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergencies and perform critical interventions with confidence and speed.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
