Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical care needs within the unit.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Active RN License in the state of Virginia (or compact state eligibility).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred for critical care roles.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
