Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, documenting changes and reporting critical findings.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients through vigilant observation and intervention.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
