Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and medical charts.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform basic life support (BLS) as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
