Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations to evaluate patient conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in accordance with medical protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and treatment responses in electronic health records.
- Provide patient education and health promotion to empower families and individuals.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
