Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions continuously, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
