Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across various units including medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency departments
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical outcomes in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, hospital policies, and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active California RN license or eligibility to obtain immediately
- ACLS/BLS certification required (will provide training if not certified)
- Graduation from accredited nursing program within last 12 months
- Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
