Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and support to individuals of all ages in a clinical setting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery at home.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients and their families.
