Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across various medical units under preceptor guidance
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge protocols
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and hospital safety policies
- Participate in continuing education and skills development workshops
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction metrics
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active North Carolina RN license or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Completion of NCLEX exam within 3 months of hire
- BLS certification from AHA (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
