Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, history, and exercise for development of the nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities immediately to the attending physician.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease management.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- ACLS certification preferred for specialty units.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
