Responsibilities
- Assess patient health history and current status to develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and alert physicians immediately to any significant changes in patient condition.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and self-care.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations as required.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with outstanding credentials are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced healthcare environments.
