Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and continuity of care
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical interventions as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Precept and mentor new nursing staff to uphold departmental standards
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient progress accurately
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, night shift preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS required for pediatric units)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and electronic documentation
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient/family interactions
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- BSN degree or enrollment in accredited BSN program
