Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and documentation accuracy
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams during overnight hours
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapid response activations
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and DC nursing regulations
- Utilize Epic EHR for seamless documentation and care coordination
- Mentor new nurses and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license (compact license accepted)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proven expertise in managing complex patient cases overnight
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management skills
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
