Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse medical units during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders with precision
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment
- Document clinical observations and care plans accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with night shift physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff
- Provide patient/family education on treatment plans and discharge preparations
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety rounds
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license (or compact state license with verification)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred for leadership track candidates
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in telemetry/ICU/ER setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric units
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent documentation proficiency in Epic/Cerner systems
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity and census fluctuations
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
