Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in critical care units, emergency departments, and medical-surgical floors
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting all care activities accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment protocols
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, JCAHO standards, and regulatory requirements
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapid response activations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity and unit needs
