Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care assessment, medication administration, and treatment during overnight shifts
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, responses, and critical changes in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety protocols
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and appropriate interventions
- Lead patient education and discharge planning for overnight admissions
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety committees
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills in emergency situations
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina for 12-hour shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs
