Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatment interventions
- Monitor and document patient vitals, symptoms, and treatment responses with EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations using ACLS/PALS protocols and rapid response protocols
- Supervise LVNs/CNAs and delegate tasks according to patient acuity and scope of practice
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital policies/procedures
- Maintain sterile environments during procedures and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with 2+ years experience considered
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (ER/ICU/Step-down preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation systems
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions
- Valid BLS certification and current physical/immunization records
