Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in the night shift setting, monitoring vital signs and administering treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records
- Precept new nurses and provide clinical guidance to support staff development
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (required) and BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs during night shifts
