Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound treatment, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assess patient conditions accurately and respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Supervise LVNs/CNAs and delegate tasks efficiently during night shifts
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in med-surg, telemetry, or ICU
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently during night hours
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
