Job Overview:
As a Night Shift RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care during evening hours. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and recovery. We are urgently hiring for this position to meet the growing needs of our community.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs and physician orders.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, vital signs, and care provided in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and address concerns promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to patient emergencies and assist in code blue situations as needed.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
