Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and response to treatment, reporting any significant changes immediately to the Charge Nurse or Physician.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, strictly adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or compact state license).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (Graduate Nurse candidates will be considered).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
