Responsibilities
- Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any significant changes to the medical team.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations during the night shift with composure and efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, patient charts, and shift reports in compliance with hospital standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care coordination.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the role.
