Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care during the night shift, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Assess patient conditions, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate nursing interventions promptly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, physicians, and other staff to ensure seamless patient transitions and continuity of care.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Respond to emergency situations and alarms with appropriate urgency and clinical judgment.
- Conduct patient rounds and rounds with the interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, especially in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs during shifts.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and charting software.
