Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and neurological status, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic patient recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort and dignity while providing education to patients and families regarding their care plans.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania (and eligible for NY licensure if applicable).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; Night shift experience highly valued.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Must be proficient in electronic medical record systems (EHR).
