Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status throughout the shift to identify any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in code situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team during night shifts.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
