Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse medical units during night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards
- Lead patient education initiatives and discharge planning coordination
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Oregon RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
