Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, strictly adhering to established medical protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status in real-time, promptly alerting physicians and the care team to any changes.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure holistic patient recovery.
- Provide clear and empathetic education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, medications, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based committees to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
